DESCRIPTION

The Fibre Channel to S-Link Interface is a standard S-Link Impementation, where Fibre Channel is used as physical layer. This physical layer is fully compatible with the FC(0) and FC(1) levels of the FC-PH. It is also compatible with the FC(2) level in the following details: For all of the other aspects of the signaling and framing protocol of this interface special non-standard solutions are used.
SM or MM optical cables with SC Duplex connectors or HSSDC electrical cables can be used as media between the source and destination cards.
