Last Circular of HBT'96:

Particle Interferometry in High Energy Heavy Ion Collisions

Trento, Italy, September 16 - 27, 1996

September 6, 1996

Dear Participants,

The time of the HBT'96 workshop is approaching. The preparations to the workshop arrived to their final stage:

A preliminary programme has been prepared,
Please have a look at the updated HBT'96 home page,
A DATA and FIT presentation form has been agreed upon and we advise everybody who plans to show comparisons with actual data to present results in the above form,
Finally a HBT and SPECTRUM data base is under construction, a large number of published data are already available. The data base is expected to be fully interactive by the time of the HBT'96 meeting.

We envision this HBT and SPECTRUM data base to be a place where experimental data can be uploaded by the collaborations ensuring a free and flexible electronic availability of the data to any interested parties. Preliminary and published data shall be separated and informations about acceptance cuts and other subtleties can be given in a manner similar to the DATA and FIT presentation form.

Also, we would like to draw your attention to the point that NO PROCEEDINGS shall be published. However, we expect that the real outcome of the workshop will be a new series of papers written by the workshop participants and published in refereed scientific journals. We will appreciate if you send a copy of these reprints to the organizers.

A small preprint/reprint library shall be organized at Tretno. Please bring a few copies of your most recent works with you to HBT'96 !

We are looking forward to a stimulating and fruitful meeting where new ideas, new methods can be formulated and also tested on the available preliminary data.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Trento soon.

Sincerely yours

T. Csörgö, U. Heinz and W. A. Zajc
