Research experience and interest: 
 
Kutatási szakterület: űrplazmafizika: a Föld, Vénusz, Mars és üstökösök környezetében található plazma és a napszél kölcsönhatásának vizsgálata űrszondák mérései alapján.
 
1993 óta társkutató az ESA jelenleg is futó Cluster projektjének magnetométer kísérletében, a Cluster Magyar Adatközpont vezetője. Témavezetője a Cluster programmal kapcsolatos korábbi, ill. jelenlegi OMFB, PRODEX, ill. PECS szerződéseknek. Három sikeresen lezárult OTKA pályázat témavezetője volt. Társkutató korábbi űrprojektekben (VEGA, Phobos). Eddig 89 publikációja jelent meg, főként nemzetközi tudományos folyóiratokban.
