Research experience and interest: 
 
Space plasma physics.  Experimental and theoretical research on the solar modulation
galactic cosmic rays. Propagation of energetic solar protons and electrons in the solar corona and in the interplanetary medium. Experimental and theoretical study of energetic ions and electrons in the environment of comets, Mars, and near the bow shock of the Earth. Origin of medium energy (MeV) background of solar/galactic particles. Space weather models.
Involvement in space missions: Co-investigator: energetic particle detector TÜNDE (VEGA 1-2); low energy particle detector SLED (Phobos 1-2); energetic particle detector LION (SOHO); low energy particle spectrometer RAPID (CLUSTER); particle propagation simulation and energetic particle detector SEPT (STEREO/IMPACT); PICAM instrument (Bepi-Colombo), low-energy particle detector ROMAP (Rosetta)
